And, today (as will happen with thousands of students up and down the country over the next few days), my A2 exams have come to a close.
Over the last 2 years, I have had an amazing time. Met loads of fantastic new people (and some not quite) and formed strong friendships with people I hope I will continue for many years to come.
I became interested in TV, and the backstage going on around it, and been involved in different events, such as the band FM, some shows at college plus some live broadcasts. Plus editing numerous videos that nobody else would do!
Furthermore I became engaged in the Performing Arts department, specifically the part that revolves around anything electrical, the sound and lighting section to be specific. I spent over 200 hours sat behind a control desk, putting on shows such as Anything Goes, Multiphony, The Big Music Show and Heartbreak Beautiful (which I travelled to Kendal to perform at the Brewery Arts Centre)
I spent a week working a Fairbanks Environmental, which I thoroughly enjoyed having a chat with the team about IT related topics, and also getting involved in helping them out solving a crisis. My idea for which was tried and later used in their main program. I was also asked to make a presentation regarding their business and any aspects I thought required improvement, something I was slightly nervous about doing as I had only been there 1 week and they were asking me to be critical of their 15 years hard work...
I started and passed my driving test after only 20 hours of lessons and 10 hours driving about with my Dad, to not drive again after passing my driving test.
I finally managed to obtain a part time job (extremely late on in the year) HURRAR, however this was accompanied by another part time job, trust sods law to pull that one on me.
I've made 3,262 plurks over the 2 years, and 18,183 responses. Spent around £1,700 and over 800 hours travelling on public transport getting me to and from college. Gained 154 friends on Facebook from people from college, and countless others met through other people via college. Taken 20 exams, and 9 resists, in order to get me the all important 320 points to get into Sheffield University. Hundreds of hours spent doing PHP projects, totalling 7,257 in 738 folders, which takes up 2.85GB that are currently in use on this server right now, and further 185GB of films in 645 different files spent thousands of hours watching. 5,972 SMS sent and received since January.
0 minutes reading books, hopefully this summer will give me time to do this.
3 months of summer, cannot wait. Some awesome stuff lined up, one very, VERY soon that involves cars that drive at 300km/h around 3.6 miles of track. It is of couse the Silverstone F1 Grand Prix.
